Upgrading to US annual pass

Has anyone upgraded to an annual pass recently at universal?

We are due to go at the end of August. We are now thinking of going again next year for a month from the end of June to end of July, so within the same year for an AP.

We have purchased the 3 park pass. (Which was the same price as the 2 park pass).Due to the COVID situation at the time we paid extra so we could cancel for any reason.

So we could cancel our 3 park tickets and purchase an annual pass on line on the Universal website(but we would just get the 2 park AP).

Or we could upgrade when we get there. We did this in 2018 and it just cost us £15 each to upgrade our 3 park UK pass to a 2 park AP! .

I know we wouldn't get the same bargain again, but thinking it might be cheaper to upgrade there as they hopefully would work.out the difference between what the actual price of a 3 park pass if purchased at universal would be (which is more expensive that what we pay in the UK) and the cost of an AP.

I'm very sorry to trouble everyone and ask again. I did do a search but probably didn't put the correct search criteria in.

Again very sorry. Thanks for the info.
