BA Check in

Silly question time...

If I check in online with BA tonight, check in is now open, so I just go to bag drop tomorrow?

Specifically wondering what happens if the number of checked bags declared at check in was to change come bag drop time...is that going to be an issue?

If u can manage to check in online then yes just go to bag drop if you end up with more bags than u declared at checkin then it will cause an issue but nothing that can’t be fixed by the desk staff

Flew yesterday and had already checked in online. Went to back drop and it gave each person the option to add more bags. There was a payment machine attached to each self check in kiosk so would be easy to pay. All very streamlined

So when checking in online it asks how many bags to check in. Does that include hand/laptop bags?

Quite sure it doesn't...

Actually another one. Well have two strollers and 2 car seats I assume all we declare at check in online is the 1 23 kg bag and not the rest?

You will take the strollers all the way to the gate with you. Some people put car seats in the hold at bag drop but most just took with them to the gate and they got taken into the hold then with the strollers

If travelling with children it might not let you check in online. We checked in at the airport (walked straight up no queue - Gatwick btw.)
In any case the car seat and stroller aren’t classed as bags they are additional free items for children.
For us They tagged the car seat then we took it round to outsized/oversized baggage. We declined tagging the pushchair as we had a cabin approved one (babyzen yo-yo)
