Upgrade now or on arrival

Hi all,

We have a Toyota Camry or equivalent(large car) booked for Friday. We need to phone BA for another reason anyway so was thinking about getting a price to upgrade.

There are 4 of us with bags so would love recommendations for a nice upgrade.

An Escalade would be a nice upgrade.

Never ever try for an upgrade at the desk.

The agents are all on commission to sell you more stuff than you need and have absolutely no incentive to do you a good deal.

Hindsight is a wonderful gift. Always best financially to book the car size you want but BA might give you a decent price although they may charge an amendment fee.

PS Good luck with ringing BA by the way. A fly-drive is classed as a holiday and it's a different department. You could try chat and get past the bot by typing "speak to an agent" ad nauseum. Speaking from experience.

Don't forget that it's only the two airport runs where luggage can be "uncomfortable" . Might be OK for the rest of the holiday.

They deleted my entire booking a few weeks ago, and I noticed that when they re-booked it they have my daughter down as “master” we called them again then and they said it wouldn’t cause any issues but I don’t believe them so going to call again. Might but chance it with the sales line since we are “looking to upgrade”
