There is no definitive answer to your question as cruise line pricing is dynamic and based on availability- if a cruise is selling well the price goes up, if it’s slow, the price goes down. Doing a dummy booking on most cruise line sites will show cabin availability and may give an indication if prices might fall. As an example, I have a cruise booked (on a £1 deposit) at £1750 pp, it’s now £1099 pp with still good cabin availability. I’ll cancel and rebook (or refare) soon. In general, the best deals crop up after final payment date when North Americans cancel cruises they are holding without loss of deposit.
Flights are now available for early Nov.

I always think its worth booking as soon as you are sure thats the cruise you want. Most cruiselines allow you to move deposits between cruises if you then decide you need to change it. As said price wise it often depends. For companies like Disney its almost always cheaper to book as soon as they release prices as they don't have many offers. For other cruiselines, they often have sales and various offers on so its really hard to predict.
