Resturant Reservations
So We're almost at 60 days out, so I can book some reservations.
We're staying Monday to Friday in the last week of August. Which according to the DLRP Roundup is a MILD crowd level. So my question is, Taking into account when we are visiting, is it worth booking in advance (60 days) or just sorting it out on the day we arrive when we check in at Sequoia Lodge. Looking at our plan, the only restaurants we can book is the Buffet at Plaza Gardens & Cafe des Cascadeurs. We're also planning on Rainforest Cafe, Annette's & maybe Planet Hollywood but I understand we can't book these in advance. Can I book tables at these in person a couple of days before? Or can you only book on the day you want to eat?

Annette's is walk up only, avoid just after the parade and you shouldn't have to wait long.
In the past we have booked at planet Hollywood and it was worth doing but other times we have walked in. You can book at the desk as you go in. Not sure about rainforest cafe. We've never booked any of the Disney restaurants in advance, only ever on arrival but if you are set on particular restaurants then it might be worth booking. |

I always book before I go...I have small children and so I like to know where we are eating and make sure it's at a reasonable time for the kids.
Rainforest cafe you can't book in advance...we have managed to reserve a table on the day tho |

Are you on standard dining plan? You can use them towards a table service meal such as Cafe Mickey which is worth reserving in advance. City Hall are very helpful if booking on the day and also amending reservations.

Hi Muggle, we're there at the same time (doing Sunday - Thursday that same week) I'm definitely booking before we go. We did the same week when we went in 2012 and tried to change our booking one day & they had no availability to eat at our hotel instead of in the park!
I want to do all my bookings at once so have a couple more days to make my ADR's. It's getting exciting! |

I'll book any Disney owned restaurants next week then, so i can do them all at once. For the others in the Disney Village I'll try to book on the morning at each as we walk to the parks. Thanks for the advice everyone.
