Roadside assistance whilst driving in France

Hi we travel to France in august this year and it will be our first time driving in another country . Could anyone recommend a good company for breakdown cover in France ? Thanks for any help .

We are with the AA and just added European cover on as an extra for the duration of the trip. It worked out cheaper than taking out a single policy for Europe.

We drove all the way through France to the Costa Brava some years ago, had problems with the car once we arrived. Green Flag were excellent and arranged for a local garage to come and collect our car from our resort and delivered us a hire car to use until it was fixed. The only thing we needed to pay for was the spare part to fix the car, all labour costs were free.
