Booked Beach club, any tips?

Bit the bullet and splashed out for August 2020 for Beach club, followed by a short stay at Leows Royal Pacific at universal! Mega excited now.

Any tips for this place? Rooms/transport etc?

Preferably a room that doesnt smell of fish.

As well as the short walk to Epcot, always walk to Hollywood Studios. It takes about 15/20 mins, along the lovely river, is valuable exercise after all the food and I personally like having destiny in our hands rather than relying on the inconsistent bus service!

Walk to Hollywood but get the boat back. We often get off the boat at the Swan/Dolphin as it’s the first stop and then walk to our room.

I was also going to say walk to DHS. Ask for a ground floor room. We had one opposite the quiet pool but I loved the patio rather than a balcony. Also they position you close to Epcot and the shop. Don’t rely on their QS food it very quickly gets old. Hop into Worldshowcase to eat QS. Get in the pool first at least once to enjoy it less full and dependent upon the age of your kids work out your preferred area to grab chairs.

I’ve stayed at the YC three times now and never taken a bus to HS?
The Friendship boats take you there and are frequent. We have walked there but often not as we walk literally all day in the parks and want to save my feet for that! Always get the boat back too.
I don’t like the ground floor, so opted for 2nd or 4th floors, these have full balconies.

There is no bus unless the weather causes the boats to be cancelled

We stayed at the yacht club in Oct 17. It was amazing being so close to Epcot and HS. We walked to Epcot - 5 mins - and friendship boat to HS as the kids loved it. It was regular and reliable. We used Epcot for QS takeaway. The pizza window on the boardwalk was great too. Stormalong bay was fabulous!

We had a ground floor garden view room and liked the patio. Stormalong bay was great. So was gorgeous smell in the lobby, so much so, I had to buy the candle as mentioned from someone on here just to recapture the smell of the lobby. Don't know what you mean about fish lol. Was fantastic to walk to Epcot and return during the day.

We stayed in BC last year and just booked again for next year, we loved it! Walk to Epcot (if you are on the Epcot side of hotel cut down through the exit beside the quiet pool and its a 5 minute stroll to Epcot entrance). We used the friendship boats to Hollywood Studios and they were great! If you want a seat on the bus (to MK, AK, Disney Springs) then best to walk to Yacht Club as that's where the bus stops first, also coming home at night we would get off at Yacht and walk rather than the extra time on bus.

Take a walk over to Boardwalk Bakery for a great breakfast, sitting out on the boardwalk with views over the lake is simply an amazing way to start the day. Ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery too! Oh so good.

We weren't impressed with the QS options at BC, apart from pool side food from Hurricane Hannah's. However you are spoils for choice only a short walk to Epcot Worldshowcase.

We loved Stormalong Bay but equally loved having the quiet pool to ourselves many times. Loved dipping our feet in the hot tub after a long day at the parks.

You will love it!
