Just to add for those who may be looking at CDG, we have transitted through it twice and had no issues what so ever, had to change terminals but it was an easy walk even with fil with walking stick.

I guess we just hit a bad day (within hours of airspace reopening after ash cloud) we were re-directed and no cash so used credit card in café, the cashier tutted at me, held my card up to the next in line who also tutted at me. It was as if they had never seen a credit card.
Also security would not speak, they pointed and grunted. Just a bad experience, we all have poor experiences with airports, CDG was the worst for me. Probably be better another time but I have zero interest in trying.

I suppose there will be a lot of people wary of transiting through CDG these days which may be why the price has come down ?

Lots of Oslo-Miami boomerangs coming up if anyone is interested: on Google flights booking through American, or Kayak booking through Expedia, you can get the following for £340-350 pp:
14 Aug - OSL-MIA via LHR (some options with an overnight back in London so you don't have to take cases) 28 Aug - MIA-LON 30 Aug - LON-OSL The flights are all BA with other dates available. |

No I thought it maybe helpful for those that receive emails about this thread but may miss the other one. Ideally all deals would be posted in this thread so all those posting in it would see new deals immediately.

That's a great price for direct and perfect for our dates but (I may be mad and regret it) I'm going to hold out for sub 500 and indirect.

I wish I had seen the benefit of late August and midweek to midweek flights before planning this holiday I would be happy with sub £700 flights at the moment
