Is Sequoia Lodge refurb not going ahead now?

With the announcement today that Davy Crocket Ranch is being refurbished, are we to assume that plans for Sequoia Lodge have been put on a back burner?

Heard they were doing sequoia one building at a time to minimise disruption.

I thought NPB was next so was surprised to see it was DCR getting an overhaul.

NPB was practically rebuilt in 2017, it won't get a huge refurb again for years.

I had no idea, I’d seen some reviews to say it was tired and dated and badly in need of refurb.🤷🏼

I’ve never stayed there so was basing my reply on what I’d read elsewhere.

We stayed there a couple of years ago, and it's getting ready again IMO. I suppose it's one of those places that is so large and so busy that needs refreshing on a pretty regular basis.

Until Disney bought out DLP fully, refurbs were small and rare. It’s why Sequoia Lodge still doesn’t have USB sockets - there have only been small refurbs.

Since then Santa Fe, Cheyenne, NPB, Art of Marvel and DLH have all had major refurbs with long closure or partial closures. Sequoia just had a short freshen up.

We're due a trip to Sequoia for Christmas... haven't heard anything. I think they may a refurb/ refresh in sections to minimise disruption. I have also checked and Sequoia is still available to book up until next April.

My concern about them accepting booking and doing work is complaints... there were apparently a lot of complaints when NPB was being refurbed... time will tell!

I'm wondering if the 'announcement' that it was being refurbished was just a rumour that everyone ran with rather than a fact maybe 🤷🏻 it just seems odd that there's been nothing concrete since about November last year and they have now announced Davey Crocket? I don't know, just a thought!
