DLP dining questions

Hi

I have booked a surprise trip for 2 nights to the Marvel hotel for my DH's birthday tomorrow, going in September. I have a couple of questions though on the half board plan I have bought.

Do we get 3 days of food, or only 2?
Are some of the restaurants only available to book up to 12 months ahead? I am only getting 9 available for our dates on the app. Specifically I am looking at the Downtown restaurant to begin with

You will have 2 breakfasts which is for your hotel or can be used in Annette’s and you will have 2 other meals which can be used on any day of your stay. Downtown is probably booked up at this stage, it is very popular, I booked before Christmas for November this year. As a hotel guest though if you email the concierge you may get a booking that way.

Surprised you can’t book via the app if you aren’t going till September. I booked downtown less than 3 months in advance and in school hols. Are you selecting all restaurants when you go in the app? It doesn’t automatically show all from recollection- I think you have to search for the restaurant then look for times. I had more success booking later slots 6.45-7.45pm

It can take a couple of days for your reservation to go on the system to allow you to book - if you’ve only just made the booking I would leave 2-3 days before trying again

The hotel concierge were great and got me booked in for our first night dinner! Very excited.

Yeah, definitely nothing on the app and the dining reservation people had no availability either

When we stayed at Art of Marvel, I was able to get a booking while we were there. Pretty sure they hold some back for guests.

(We had so-so food and dreadful service though, so I am not rushing back to the Manhattan! But that was 2021 so hopefully things have improved.)

If you are staying at one of the Disney hotels you can book a year in advance.
