How to make DLP a longer holiday?

Hi

So after two years in a row we have decided to give Orlando a miss this summer. Although now struggling to find an alternative. Priced up holidays in the Med and for a family of 5 it’s working out a similar price to Orlando!

We’ve haven’t visited DLP so was thinking that might be an option. Possibly a week in an Airbnb near DLP, with 4 days at Disney and a day sight seeing in Paris. Although I would rather try and extend the holiday somehow rather than it just being a short break.

Open to suggestions

What about Center Parcs? I think they have one not too far from DLP.

We did a week at Villages Nature (like centre Parcs) just a few miles from the parks. We bought 3 day tickets (from Disney as villages nature packages were only for 2 days) did a day trip into Paris, and spent the rest of the time at the on-site pool and around the site. It was a great week.

Or what about going somewhere else in France for a beach type break, or posh camping, and using Paris as a stop over on way home (we did this kind of thing when I was a kid driving to France and doing Canvas holidays or Eurocamp stays).

So we went to DLP last summer for 3 night / 4 days then we got the train to Amsterdam for 4 nights (via Brussels) and flew back from Schipol. DS loved getting the train and Amsterdam had loads for kids. It was a great holiday

Parc Asterix? It’s been years since I went but was a very enjoyable visit and not as busy as DLP.

For our first trip, we did 4 nights on site at DLP and then 10 nights at a Eurocamp so we got a two week holiday out of it.

This year, we’re having 4 nights on site, then 4 nights at the Art of Disney AirBnB so we can spend a couple of days in Paris, etc, then 2 nights in Bruges on the way home.

Our other two trips we just did DLP, but with a night at a cheap hotel either side of our on site stay to make the most of our tickets, so it was pretty much a week long holiday.

We’re having three days/two nights at DLP as part of a ten-day trip in the summer hols. Hiring a car at Charles de Gaulle airport and visiting Rouen, Bayeux and Paris, taking in the D Day Landings beaches, Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry and the usual Paris sights. We’re staying in a mix of Airbnbs and chambre d’hôtes as well as Davy Crockett’s for the Disney bit.

If you’re willing to hop countries Efteling in the Netherlands is wonderful, great coasters for teens and amazing, magical experiences for younger kids. The food is good too and the accommodation beautiful.

Another vote for the Netherlands. We had 5 days at DLP, a night (2days) in Paris then went to Amsterdam and scheveningen for a beach and cycling break, just next to The Hague. It was great and a relaxing finish after DLP

I’ve been looking at a road trip to Europa park with a stop in Bruges and DLP, if they’re of interest.
