Birthday cake

Hi all,

I have booked a birthday dinner at Walt's and requested the Birthday cake.

Can anyone tell me if they give you a box to take the cake away in?

The dinner is a set menu and comes with dessert and there will only be three of us so I very much doubt we will even make a dent in the cake!

At 35 Euros I would like to take it with me and not waste it!

Many thanks

For me they are a waste of money.

The one I had was an ice cream cake so started melting straight away. It fed 10 and there were only 2 of us so we mostly gave it away to fellow diners.

The other version is a mousse type thing so canít really be boxed up, from what I have seen. It is smaller and I have seen 4 adults eat it all.

This is deliberate of course so you will spend loads of money on something that mostly gets left behind!

If I had a three course meal there is no way I would book a birthday cake too. Save your money, I say!
