We’ve just recently done them - to be fair liked them both but for mains/savouries we preferred Pyms, desserts Downtown. Their marvel themed desserts were pretty good.

Pym Kitchen was amazing-so good. We cancelled Downtown and had another meal at Pym Kitchen!

Having done both Id say downtown was much much better , we liked them both - but pym has more of a canteen feel to it and food was nice, but downtown had the edge for the food and the restaurant atmosphere

What time of year are you going? You might only get Pyms for “lunch” which is the same menu but if park hours are early closing, last entry could be 4/4.30. Downtown is in the hotel so you need to leave the park. Not sure if that influences your choice. I enjoyed Pyms but haven’t tried downtown

We did both, and as huge Marvel fans, we enjoyed and loved the theming of both. When we visited Downtown, we took the opportunity to look around the hotel foyer etc as the artwork and Marvel memorabilia is amazing there but you could see this without booking the restaurant

We loved the big/small food at PYMS, the desserts were beautifully themed at Downtown and possibly the service was a little better at Downtown and less busy feeling than PYMS

Going a week on Sunday - 14th April

We are staying at Santa Fe so will be walking past Hotel New York lots of times i envision to and from the hotel, so don't really mind about leaving the parks.

We've actually been DLRP half a dozen times in the past few years and never done any sit down restaurant at all :o

Both restaurants are probably fully booked and will have been for a long time, but keep checking online as people do cancel their reservations.

We haven’t been to Pym’s, but have eaten at Downtown several times and have always had a great meal.

Both of them have many times available for the duration of our trip

I enjoyed both but I’d go downtown- Pyms was ok but I didn’t feel the need to return whereas we’ve booked downtown for the third trip running now.

Agree with the poster above about it feeling more canteeny, I enjoyed the vibe more in downtown. Plus it doesn’t eat into our park time not sure what time Pyms closes now but when we went, we had a 6pm-ish booking and we were the last in there as they closed at 7. I will say though, the buffet seemed to be reasonably stocked even though it was near closing.
