Xmas Day dinner in New York

Hi all

We are going to NYC for the first time and will be there over Christmas. Can anyone recommend somewhere for Christmas Day lunch or dinner? We want somewhere decent quality but not outrageously priced (we are not Michelin star people). My DH has an aversion to anything obviously chain-y although me and DD don't mind.

We are staying near Times Square and planning on going ice skating in Central Park during the day so looking for recommendations in that general area please.

We were there Christmas last year and wanted to go somewhere nice but the "nice" places were too expensive and I wanted to book something so we went to Bucca di Beppo in the end, was quite nice having an Italian Christmas in NYC! That was in Times Sq because we were staying at the Marriott Marquis.

We too had an Italian feast for our Christmas dinner! We visited Tony Di Napoli�s, was perfect!

Thanks both for the suggestions - I will take a look at both of those.

Personally I'm not a fan of traditional Christmas dinner so Italian sounds delish to me

We had Christmas dinner in 2014 at the top of the marriot marquis at The View revolving restaurant. The menu was the same price as every other day of the year, we had the 4 course set menu and it was absolutely exquisite! We loved it, the restaurant is outstanding too 100+ floors about times sq. Defo recommend!
