Happy planning
Work out your food costs and see if it is better to uber/lyft to a supermarket, have food delivered to the hotel or upgrade to the quick service plan.

You can have shopping delivered to All Stars but the fridge is not that big so you will be extremely limited in what you can store.
Robinson's Squashable drinks are great to take as they fit in your bag easily and make the Florida water more palatable. Baby wipes and hand sanitizer are also necessaries. Have a wonderful holiday and you will enjoy the planning. |

Maybe take some allowed food with you. Have you got assistance at the airport?

As you’re at a Value resort, would you be able opt out of housekeeping and get the money you save on a gift card for food or souvenirs? Did you get the free breakfast with your room booking? I’d definitely look into upgrading to the quick service dining plan as that would probably give you enough food for your trip and it would be paid for before you go so you wouldn’t need to worry about finding food money while you’re there. Also, make sure you request a room as near to the main lobby as possible to save you time getting to the bus, food court etc. Good luck - you’ve got lots of planning time left still 😊

How much would the quick service plan work out as? Perhaps I've been adding it up wrong.

Not too sure as it depends how long you’re staying, whether you’ve already got the breakfast free etc. Who have you booked your holiday with? If it’s a travel agent then give them a call and ask them to work it out for you. If it’s with Disney direct then phone them and they’ll give you a quote. At least it will give you a chance to work out if it would be worth it financially for you 😊

Did you get free breakfast when you booked?
You would be best to get a quote from your travel agent to upgrade the dining plan but also ask for a quote on upgrading to a moderate hotel with the free quick service dining plan as that may be a cheaper option. It is a bit confusing with the various options, everyone here gas been in your shoes and thought " What the heck!" Edited at 02:42 PM. |

Oh yes, I forgot, Vowels is right. It worked out cheaper for me to change my booking to a moderate resort and get the free quick service plan than to stay at a value resort and upgrade to the quick service plan. Port Orleans French Quarter would be lovely for your family if there’s still availability. It’s a very small resort with lifts in every building (I think) so easy access to everything there. You’d get the free quick service plan there too and the rooms are slightly bigger. I’m not sure if you have the budget to do something like that but it might not work out much more expensive when you price up paying for food out of pocket for your stay.
