Free holiday amendments- Tui/ Jet 2

So, one of the main things stopping us press ‘book’ for Turkey over half term, is the risk of the kids being made to self isolate if someone in their school bubble tests positive for covid.
I have spoken to both Jet 2 and Tui who say you can make free amendments in the event of lockdown (local or national) a positive covid test for anyone travelling, or if you are told to isolate by test and trace. This does not cover kids being told to self isolate for the same reason- though surely this is the same as being contacted by test and trace- but it’s done via the school.
I’m not sure what either of the operators I spoke too knew what I meant tbh. Anyone booked to travel with kids at half term and been told different?

If that’s the case then I suppose it’s tough, but seems a bit odd, so I’m wondering if this policy was brought in before the kids went back to school do not accounted for.

Holidays we looked at last week are either getting booked up or going up in price significantly for half term week so lots of people with kids must be booking?

Turkey on thr quarantine list now. We were thinking about Turkey too (for one last gasp). We had our easter and summer breaks cancelled. Oh well. Into the big disney pot the money goes.
