Flight searching

Ok people, I want to build up a list of websites people use when searching for flights. Could people list what sites they use and is there any benefits or bad points to using these sites rather than direct with the airlines themselves.

Skyscanner, momondo, kayak and all of the airlines directly. Sometimes the airlines have discount codes that aren’t factored in by the comparison sites.

Skyscanner often has travel agents too - who at times are cheaper than direct with the airline. Also it finds ones you dont think off. E.g. Finnair. The seats are on a BA plane - codeshare, but via finnair they are half the price on some i have seen. You wont find those looking direct.

Just started looking at ita matrix too. Seems a good way of looking at a lot of dates.

We used Netflights to book direct flights with Virgin and it saved us a couple of hundred pounds than booking with VA.

Jumping on this thread to ask if people have criteria for who they would actually book the flights through? I’ve seen some bargain flights on skyscanner and kayak but the flights themselves are sold through companies I’ve never heard of.

Many TA's can be accessed via Quidco and Top Cash Back. If I'm using LastMinute I go via Quidco for circa 2 to 2.2% cash back. I also check via Skyscanner, Delta and VA.
