Any hope for feb 2021?

So i had written our feb flights off and had even booked a second trip in august which im much more hopeful about. I cancelled all the hotels i had booked and thought i would just wait for flights to be cancelled but the last few weeks i feel like the tide is begining to turn and am begining to think there may now be a small chance. Just wondered what everyone else's opinions are?

Our dates are 11/02-26/02

Sadly I still think it’s going to be cancelled - I can’t see either country changing restrictions by then, any vaccine presumably won’t be rolled out that far and wide by that time, so not sure what can realistically change by February to make flights happen.

I’d definitely be focussing on a lovely August trip instead 👍

Sorry, I just don't see this happening, its just too early, vaccine roll out will still be in early stages. We've rebooked for mid August and I think even that is touch and go. Would love to be wrong but can't see any semblance of normality before 3rd quarter next year.

It is unlikely. It's the one trip next year we would like to go ahead as we have a wedding to attend for our US relatives.

We live in hope, but fully expect to not be able to attend.

Even if we got well ahead with vaccinations, I can't see the US being that advanced just from the sheer numbers they have to vaccinate.

Edited at 10:34 AM.

I'm also booked for February. I'm thinking there's the tiniest chance it could still happen, but realistically I'm expecting our flights to be cancelled.

yep.

SAGE predictions are often put out there to reign back the over-enthusiastic, unrealistic predictions of government.

That's a prediction and it's Sky News, so not reliable.
