I've been looking at MGM Signature today have you stayed there? I was going to log in this afternoon and ask you for recommendations! Oh I looked at the Venetian how posh is that! I know you are going to be biased because you love it but how many nights in Vegas would you say? I think I need to extend this holiday ha ha
No I haven’t I don’t like the suite hotels really , we prefer the proper big casino hotels but there are only 4 of us .
These days I stop at South Point but we have stopped in several strip hotels over the years

Well the least amount of time I’ve been to Vegas is a week I wouldn’t go for less .. but if your doing a road trip unless you have unlimited time and money that’s probably not realistic.

Just with air BnB their are places where it’s not really allowed now like in Anaheim , tourist bits of Vegas some parts of LA etc so check that out first .

Some are still advertised in this places but they aren’t legal .reviewjournal/busine...-in-las-vegas/

As there are 5 of you your a bit limited in Vegas as most hotel rooms sleep 4 only . Some will allow a 5th bed but not all

So your looking at suite type hotels really , MGM Signature , elara , carriage house etc . MGM Signature has a resort fee of $35 ish per night , the other two don’t have one .
Elara looks lovely but obvs far more exp than Carriage house lol. Any others you can think of? Th MGM ones are nice too and right near the monorail. Do you drive everywhere of is the public transport good? If we did drive is it a pain to park ect. We don't mind walking but someone said to me it's massive and we don't wan to be walking!

Thank you I will have a read. You would think Airbnb would not allow them to advertise!

We walk a lot.. probably 10-15km per day.. I don't use public transport anywhere. We park up somewhere wander around and then go back to the car later on.

In all my trips I've used the monorail .. once ...its just not convenient..

It runs one side of the strip only from MGM-SLS and there are about 6 stations, but the stations are a long way back, by the time you've walked too and from a station you could have walked a fair way on the strip.. Also not cheap for 5 people.

Plus if your using buses or the monorail rather than the strip you will miss seeing so much of the strip.

The MGM station is attached to the MGM not the Signature.

There are a lot of suites but many are off strip like GrandView (which is very nice), Green Blue, Hilton Vacations (behind the Flamingo), bonus is they are a lot cheaper off strip. Doesn't bother me being off the strip though.
