It was renovated about 5 years ago (both my stays have been since the renovations)..
I stayed there while the renovations were going on in 2010 although I was in the completed tower and in a renovated room

I booked last minute and actually got the room for £25 per night.

They gave me a brilliant room with a Strip view. It was immaculate and I could not fault it at all.

The Casino was one of the brightest around, again spotless AND I won $100 on a 9 c bet on the slots.

There are very few hotels I would not stay apart form the Stratosphere and Circus Circus and that is mainly due to the locations.

I would prefer to stay in a mid price hotel and use my money for other things, the good thing is that you can spend most of the days in the other hotels anyway, you mainly only sleep and use the pool (if that's what you fancy) in yours.

I love the casino smells and the only one I can think of that smelt stale was the golden nugget
The only casino i've hated and not stayed long in is Whiskey Pete's at Primm.

We went because the kids wanted to see Bonnie & Clyde's car and as soon as we walked in the smell of smoke hit us... I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I wanted to see this too but if it's that bad I don't think I'll bother

The smell hits you as you walk in the door ... the car and the memorabilia aren't too far from the door really (thankfully!).. we spent probably 20 mins in there.
Which was about 19 mins too long... shame really as the car etc is pretty interesting.
