Good place to buy kids school shoes

Am here just now and my oldest DS starts high school shortly. He's always been able to wear trainers but his high school are trainers only.

Can't seem to find school shoes here. Does Target sell school shoes? As I haven't tried there yet. Also school bags seem really expensive any ideas where is best place to try?

Very few US kids have to wear proper black school shoes. You will probably be better off buying in the UK.

They should have school bags in Target, because it's back to school here soon. They won't have school shoes, we don't even wear uniforms, so everyone wears any shoes they want.

School bags here are backpacks, is that what you're looking for?

We were never able to find school shoes in Orlando. However they do have a fantastic selection of backpacks (rucksacks) in lots of stores. DGD bought one every year. Last year it was Vans with matching shoes.

Thanks everyone. I'll just school shoes until I'm back home. Got great backpack in Ross for less Nike one $50 down to $25.
