Is sephora best for make up?
I just tend to go to Sephora as standard to be honest but I'm wondering is there a better cheaper option?
Also, I do like Clinique, do they do bonus time in the US?

Sephora can be pricey, especially with the current exchange rate what make up brands are you looking for?
Clinique I would personally buy here in the UK, never known Sephora to have a bonus time, just the normal points perk - Mrs P x

Hi Space Cadet,
I can't comment on Sephora but I have some experience buying Clinque. Last year I bought some in Macy's (Florida Mall) as they have a Clinque counter. I found the price in dollars is what we would pay in pounds here. Also the cosmetic company store at the Premium outlets had good deals. I bought a 3pk variety of Chubby Lipsticks for $36.00 plus tax they are around £17-£19 here each. Only thing is they don't stock everything. Hope this helps. Alana

I always stock up on Clinique and yes they have bonus time the same as in the UK. Look around in all the department stores and get chatting to the assistants. Last year I spent about $200. Although there were no bonus times running she added me in a full size lipstick and mascara and some face testers.

Not for Clinique but for general beauty items check out Ulta (good mix of high-end and 'high-street' products). I also like picking up a few bits from Walgreens. People rave about CVS but I've never been to one x

I always buy Clinique in the US as it's so much cheaper than the UK. I spent over $200 last year and saved over £60. There are sometimes GWP deals but not too many in July when I visit and as already said the SA's will give you sampkes, gifts and sometimes make-up bags in with your purchase. The cosmetic store at the oulets have good deals, but selection is hit and miss. I just purchased an Even Better foundation for $19.

Depends what you're after - I can't comment on Clinique as I can't stand the stuff - but I actually like the drug store brands, and love the bargains in Walmart etc. Current faves are some of the Hard Candy bits I picked up in Walmart.

I thought Sephora was a massive let down. Benefit & Urban Decay are the same price, bit more expensive than at home. I reckon I've been spoiled by the massive House of Fraser and Debenhams make up counters.
I don't use Clinique but I reckon duty free may be your best bet. Mac isn't any cheaper either. |
