Liverpool
DH and I are looking to have a long weekend in Liverpool in June. Looking for hotel recommendations - with parking preferably as we will be driving up. All suggestions welcome :-)

Are you after something nearer the bars, or a bit quieter?
There’s a couple of hotels on the Albert Dock itself, including a premier inn. They have parking, but that area gets really busy of a weekend. There’s also the Hilton facing the docks, again with parking. There’s a few more boutique/special places in town too. I’ll have a look at some names for you now, as they’re escaping me! Xx

Thank you, we would like to be pretty central so we can both have a drink in the evenings.

if the premier inn in the Albert Dock has any rooms left, that is a great place to stay.

I stay in Liverpool a lot on business. The Crowne Plaza on the front adjacent to the cruise ship terminal is hard to beat. If you’re lucky a ship is in and you get a great view of it from rooms at the back.I’ve stayed in many of the hotels including Premier Inns, Malmaison, Radisson many times (too hot) and many others.

The hotels around the waterfront (Malmaison, Crowne Plaza, Hilton etc) are all close to the centre. 30 James Street is also pretty central as is the Aloft. Whatever you do though, don't be tempted by nostalgia to book the Adelphi... its god awful!

We always stay in the Premier Inn on the Albert Dock, fantastic location and so scenic!

The river festival is on in the first weekend in June which is at the Albert Dock. There will be loads to see and do but it will be very busy

Guess it depends on your budget. There are plenty of travellodge , premierinns, or hampton inns around. Or you can book something more expensive. Many don't have carparks but there is car parking near most. But even if they do have a carpark you may be better parking near by , for example crown plaza charge £14 a day.
If you wanted to come on a sunday to Monday then have a look at the malmaison they do an offer where your room is £25 (normal £250) if you spend £75 in the resturaunt on food and drink. |

I agree with the crowne plaza city centre, it is a short walk from the docks and it has a pool which is lovely for a relaxing afternoon. It is also a short walk from lots of nice eating places.
