its more likely that for the past few years all the reports have been stating when it opens it will be Chaos so many people will have delayed visits (plus many waiting for both rides to be open), or if not interested visited before it opened.

They have put the prices up which is probably keeping some people away. Also until the main attraction opens later this year, it is effectively a shopping area!

Interesting as other reports are saying it's rammed and access is stopped when it gets too full. |

YouTube is full of fanboys who hate the new Star Wars movies and they hope GE will flop because it's not set in the original trilogy timeline. So they exaggerate reports of low crowds to fit their narrative.

I know nothing about Star Wars 😯 Genuinely wouldn’t recognise any of the figures if they built it in my yard, did read Carrie Fisher’s book once so might be able to identify the princess. Anyway, with all the fuss I did look up some YouTube videos to see what to expect and I thought it was hard enough to find unbiased info. A lot of the videos did seem to be fan boy types who had already made up their minds and were pushing a pro or anti agenda even when they said they weren’t!
So I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if there’s all sorts of narratives pushed and some people willing it to flop. It’s also important to remember that Disneyland is mostly a locals park and as was pointed out on the other thread the annual passes have blackout periods in the summer and some locals may have been put off my all the talk of how crowded it would be. They’ve increased tickets too so local families without an annual pass may not be willing to shell out Disney prices this year. |
