Mobile Rubix Cube

I was watching Death in Paridise last night and Kris Marshall completed a rubix cube. This got me thinking, for nearly 40 years I've tried on and off and still not managed to do it.

Has anyone completed a rubix cube? is there a certain way to do it?

There is no particular trick or easy way other than memory - each piece can be moved to a particular position by doing a particular sequence of moves. It really is just a case of knowing all the sequences.

Which is why kids are good at learning to do it when they have all those new connections being made in their brains...

Someone did that to the cube my mum and dad have (in their display cabinet, I might add -classy!). I think it was one of the grandchildren. I followed online instructions but there are two middle edge pieces that just won't go right.

Minnie18. You will be able to download instructions. The first face is easy, but after that I need the instructions.

Thank you 😊 I didn't know you could get instructions. Oh the moral dilemma 😬 do I keep trying myself or cheat 😳

Yes there are techniques to doing it, it will not happen by random trying. I used to be able to complete one in about three or four minutes, my sister taught me and she was taught by our neighbour’s son. Sadly I cannot remember the technique now.
