We stayed there last year, yes bit outdated but always clean, we had a 2br suite and the rooms were fantastic sizes, 2 mins walk from Hollywood and highland (You must try the steak house at HH best steak ive ever had ) Would def stay there again.

i know LA's an expensive place but i wouldn't pay what they're asking to stay there - for a little bit more you can get a nicer place. I'm a budget traveller if you like and don't look to stay in flash/expensive hotels when i'm hardly going to be in them but i've ruled out staying here already on our next stay.

Just out of interest where were you staying?
When we stayed it actually got really good reviews on Tripadvisor.

We found California to be very expensive hotel wise and found that a lot of the hotels only slept 4 to a room, (Florida has spoilt everywhere for us now) so as there are 5 of us we needed a suite or 2 rooms. We hardly spent any time at the hotel so if you dont mind clean and basic its fine.
