Thanks everyone. Am pleased to report that, yes, I was a lot better the next day. And one small plus - I lost about 1lb over the whole week, instead of porking up by about 7 as I normally do!

Wow, some distance covered today - love the variety of areas and your photographs are great! I wanted to walk the High Line on my last trip but the friends I was with prefered to shop, so next time I'm certainly making time to do this. Sorry about the food poisoning, hope it didn't impact too much on your plans for the next day.

Fantastic report Mike. I dont know where you find the energy. You squeeze into one day what I would probably do in three. Loved all the photos of the walk, sights and food and enjoyed the commentary of course. That sixth oyster was a bad choice though!

20 miles in a day - no wonder Amanda was getting blisters!

Loved the photos of Central Park plus the Highline too. I've been to NYC twice before, but have completely missed this in all of my research and planning. It will definitely be on my to do list for the next visit.

Sorry to hear about the latter half of your day and hope it didn't impact too much on the rest of your holiday.
