We're flying in and out of LAX in August, and that is about as far as my plan has got so far

Torn between taking an internal flight to San Francisco and doing Yosemite and PCH, ending up in Anaheim OR just San Diego and Anaheim as we did last year (and loved it). Part of me thinks be adventurous and do something different (have done this with just DH and I, but not with kids), and the other part thinks we had such a good time last year, and 'if it ain't broke... !'

Guess we'll have to make a decision soon - that's assuming the Norwegian airlines are able to get us there with their 'problems'

Ooh this thread is making me feel sooo excited!

Plus I've just spent a happy afternoon looking at the California map and trying to work out where to stay

We're flying to San Francisco on 19th July and back from LA on 4th Aug. First big holiday without kids .
So far have planned:
4 nights San Fran
2 nights Napa Valley (or might change our minds yet again and visit Yosemite)
2 nights Monterey
4 nights in Cambria/Pismo/Santa Barbara/Santa Monica (can't decide!)
4 nights at Disney

Still lots to sort out so will definitely be Dibbing for some answers

We fly the 27th Feb

1st night...no idea where we are staying probably Sams Town tho
Then 3 nights in Phoenix stopping at the Quality Inn Goodyear
Back to Vegas for 11 nights... 7 nights we are stopping at South Point, 4 nights at the Flamingo.
Which is a change from my original plans but then i blew my car up ! And then i won a week in Tenerife for the week after we get back from Vegas so i'm trying to save a little cash.

As for plans so far..
2 days racing in Phoenix
3 days racing in Las Vegas
Monday 11th, my son is doing the Richard Petty Ride-a-Long

And as some point we've got a VIP behind the scenes tour of Ricks/American Restorations , my DH has to speak with Rick's wife when we get there to sort it.

No other plans really, we know the places we want to see etc but we will just do then as and when.

As for booking stuff in my usual style it's all last minute, hotels are booked, race tickets are paid for , car hire, flights, insurance etc will be booked in the next week.
