Can't beat the one bed terrace rooms overlooking the Bellagio fountains at the Cosmopolitan, we stayed there in November last year, amazing room and view, no other Vegas strip hotel has balconies! Highly recommended!

Dont know when it worked for you, but now the check-in clerks are monitered n if caught taking money for upgrades its instant dismisal
Paris is a nice hotel n the views of the Bellargio fountains from the top of the Eiffel Tower are fantastic, especially at night. The restaurant at the top of the tower is good n very romantic as is 'Olives' restaurant in the Bellargio especially if you can get a table on the balcony overlooking the fountains. NYNY is fun but getting a bit scruffy now, the rooms in the Luxor are fab. The Hilton is off the strip but the metro is directly at its side door, its a good price & has a good little theatre, rooms typical Hilton. Remember if you book a hotel keep checking the price & if it goes down e-mail or ring them & they will lower the price for you. If your an AA member (worth joining if your not) you are entitled to AAA discounts on hotels & other stuff! The price of rooms goes up a lot on Friday & Saturday nights. Book theatre/show tickets on-line well in advance & pick them up when you get there.

We're stopping in Las Vegas for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon in January and we still haven't decided where to stay. I'd like the Venetian but not at any cost so also keeping an eye on the Mirage, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand. I've never been before but liked the look of these places - will see which I go for once some realistic prices are available, so expensive at the moment.

For 'fun' I would stay at the MGM as if it's summer you have the pool parties with top dj's and Hakkasan the super club with Calvin Harris as a resident DJ or I would say planet Hollywood. Haven't stayed here but I think it's more the younger crowd

Thanks for the info I think we're very similar to you, we want the big bold hotels with a great pool area as well. I'll definitely be taking a look online at the Delano, thanks again
Enjoy your summer holiday, not long to go

Its seems like I need to go back as so much is changing! The Riviera was so nice when we stayed, not the most luxurious but the suite they gave us was great.
I can understand how the Sahara is being overhauled though as it wasn't the best. We stayed there for one night after driving back from LA as we were catching our flight home from Vegas having started our trip there. Looks like an excuse to book a return trip. |

We stayed in the Cosmopolitan when it had just opened in 2011. Amazing hotel, would definatly recommend it and we were lucky enough to get free Breakfast/Brunch in the Wicked Spoon which was worth $29.99 a day at the time.
If or should I say when we go back I think we'd stay in Mandalay Bay as we'd relax a bit more in the daytime and the pool area looks amazing

MGM Grand, we loved it in March. Ka was the most amazing show to watch to so that being at the hotel was a huge bonus.
We have also stayed at the Mandalay Bay, more luxurious but less going on/quieter area. Planet Hollywood, great spot on the strip but not an amazing atmosphere & The Venetian, beautiful, luxurious but a bit too upmarket for us and so so big! |

We're not that big party animals, but we would go to a couple we prefer having a early (ish) start & then a really busy active day, by the time night comes were normally shattered when we're on holiday haha

I have stayed at
Mandalay Bay - Loved this hotel the pool area was fab, the rooms were lovely and huge, plus loved the shows and the space this hotel had but it was at the far end of the strip. Bellagio - have to give this a big up as we were given a suite bigger than my house, it had its own hallway, with two beds and baths full kitchen and dipping pool, not sure why we were given it minus points are the amount of people milling around in the public areas it was manic at alltimes of day night Caesars Palace - stayed here loved the pool area and the choice of eating shopping extra plus the choice of pool areas meant you were never fighting for pool space Cosmopolitan - love this hotel have stayed twice the three pools are great we mainly stayed around the quiet pool giving a laid back feel and the choice of restaurants and cool bars in here made it our favourite The prices do change between dates and week days and time you book it for these hotels through and this week you the hotel may be over your price but as Daytona babe said they change an drop the nearer you get and vary between hotel sites, I used lowcost usa last time as they were a third cheaper than the rest plus no resort fees. its definitely worth shopping around for your favourite/ dream hotel
