It will be quicker but way less selection. I always pop to Aldi because its just up the road and we go for 5/6 weeks but most of my shopping gets done in Walmart. If its near, pop in, but I honestly dont think you could swap it for shopping in Walmart, there is just not the selection unless you only want bits and bobs. I do find fruit and veg cheaper usually.

I like Aldi at home and was looking forward to trying it out here. We did our main shop at Walmart and visited Aldi at Southern Dunes a week later. It is definitely cheaper than Walmart but choice is very limited. I would say it is good for a top up but not for a main shop.

We love Aldi for a stock up shop for sugar, ketchup, water, tin foil etc. It's really cheap compared to Publix, Winn Dixie and WalMart. Their cereals are good too. Also got their juice, milk, grated cheese, hummus etc.
I wouldn't go there for lunch stuff to eat here and now but it's great for a big bulk shop of generic items. They'd a fab new bakery section in our local branch last time with big sliced cobs of Italian bread. |
