$$ at XE.com

Someone I know has said that on XE.com the $ is $1.80 at the moment. Does anyone know about this company or ever used it? I'm aware its not a UK company though, but their rates are good.

I always thought xe.com was just a currency converter and that you couldn't buy $$'s from them.

I have just been looking at it, its called Xetrade... looks very complicated to me..LOL

I never knew that you could use them for currency, you learn something new everyday

Had a look at xetrade - looks good to me. The business which I am in uses bank transfers all the time. It's like using internet banking, I think. The only drawback is that your receiving account must be a dollar account for US dollars, a French franc account for French francs, etc, otherwise your bank will convert the dollars (or whatever) back into GBP!

Hi

The rates on xe.com are the bank rates and not the tourist rates.
These are normally about 8 - 10 cents higher.
