Virgin PE August 2019 Advice
Hi dibbers!
Just looking at flights for our trip in August 2020. Obviously can cost up TUI and Thomas Cook now. Would anyone be able to share what they paid for Virgin PE (per adult) for this August from LGW when they were released last year? Thanks Steve Edited at 04:38 PM. |

Hi Steve,
We ended up choosing BA this year as considerably cheaper than virgin at our time of booking. BA direct LGW to MCO in their PE was c.£1300 per adult which was 12th to 28th August, it may have even dropped a little cheaper than that I think. Virgin was several hundred more whenever I checked |

Thanks both! TUI is coming out at about £1400 each in premium club which seems a bit high. Just wanted to see if that’s about the same as Virgin or not. Thanks for the advice on BA, will consider them too as previously thought they’d be the most expensive.

Hi, we’re flying with virgin at the end of August this year. The prices just didn’t drop and we monitored them for about 7 months before biting the bullet and booking at £1000 each. Not long after they rose again, the lowest we saw them for was around £890 each, we didn’t book as we hoped they’d drop further and they were only at the lower price for about a week.
We did notice that it was cheaper to fly out on a Wednesday.

Virgin (from Manchester anyway) can stay stubbornly around 1.5k per adult for PE in the height of the school August holidays. I’ve read others getting it cheaper but personally haven’t ever managed that. Their PE prices seem to fluctuate wildly in different months of the year. Best price I’ve managed is May half term £800.
