We're the same. There's me and the DBF and we have $2000 on FairFX but think we will add another couple of hundred $$$ then take a bit of cash.

Does anyone know how often the rate at Fairfx changes? I have been on twice today and each time the rate has changed. By the way its at 1.97 at the moment which is quite a good rate. Thanks

To be honest, the difference between $2 and $1.95 is negligible unless your changing 10's of thousands.
Over the years, the first time I went, it was around 1.55, the best I have changed at is $2.05 the worst $1.36 and let me tell you, 65c on the dollar does make a massive difference it actually wasn't worth buying anything

So do I, but only after I've sold everything I own lock stock and barrel and changed it into dollars at current rates

$2 = £1 is just a psychological level. It is only 1c (or 0.5%) better than $1.99 = £1 and won't make much difference to your overall spending.

As ever, no-one has a crystal ball to predict these things, if we did we'd all be multi-millionaire currency market speculators.

I think people at the moment are make to much fuss over the exchange rate.

If it changes big style, yes, then worry, but over a couple of cents? It won't make any real difference unless you are planning on taking thousands with you.

I would change my money when I had some spare and could afford it.
