No. If you are a no show for the first leg you forfeit the entire trip

Have you tried flying to heathrow from a/your small regional airport - we've had fantastic prices doing this in the past, taking an extra flight saved us hundreds when we flew to Texas.

Just a thought.
If you are willing to drive to LGW then why not book LGW to Tampa direct. Then drive from Tampa to Orlando. Depending on where you are staying the drive is about an hour. Many people on here prefer to fly into Tampa as it is a much smaller and quieter airport compared to Orlando.

That doesn't help the "don't want to fly indirect or change in London" issue though

Nope, but it solves the struggle to find flights at a 'decent' price. Something has to give somewhere.

thanks for replying guys

so frustrated ! an indirect man-lhw-lgw-mco i can get for £500 + seats etc

a direct lgw-mco is over £800 + seats etc

so £300 more expensive for a flight less

i would rather not do tampa on way out as hubby is not a great flyer , so after his diazipam /brandy mix on the flight he shouldnt drive!

we could return form tampa as well be at the coast for lat week of hols so would work well

we are about 20 mins from liverpool 30 mins from manchester,

i havent tried starting at LPL so will give this ago !

thanks again

We’re doing this route in August but we managed to get one where the lgw - mco flight is on the next day. I know it still means changing, but we saved hundreds doing it and it’s not going to be a rush with it being the next day x

You will be lucky to find anything that will fit in with what you would like to do from Liverpool. I would say if you are 30minutes from Manchester that is also your local airport so if it is a good price why drive down to Gatwick to pay more. I assume that the direct VS flight isn't available or expensive.

And as bernard301 points out if you don't take the Man-LHR flight your enitre trip is cancelled.
