What a difference a year makes (join in)

As part of a random conversation with DW this morning I realised that this time last year we had just booked a week away to WDW, we were continuing to plan our wedding and two of the boys were due to take part in a "spy games" even this coming weekend (last year)

This year we are lucky if we can look forward to anything at the moment. My heart goes out to those who have had family events/ holidays messed about by this horrible virus.

So what was happening in your life a year ago?

Remember - just for fun!

BB

DS was sitting his GCSEs, DD was getting ready to go to Thailand volunteering and we were getting ready to go to The Maldives - via Dubai where we were meeting DD flying in from Thailand.

Seems like another lifetime.

I was saying to DH last night that I'm so so pleased we gave our 2 the travel experiences we did as I think travel is going to look a little different and not be as accessible after this I hope I'm wrong.

My DS was in the run up to his volunteering trip to China (I think he went end of June 2019).

Google Photos popped up on my phone over the weekend, pictures of my wife and I in Spain on a long weekend. Lovely memories.

We were looking forward to Aug/September when we were taking our daughter to WDW. Then went ahead as planned, small disruption from Dorian but all OK.

I've got a secondary booking for November just in case that one doesn't go ahead!

We spent the day with my mum which was a few days after her birthday. We were also preparing for what turned out to be our best ever road trip to Colorado and Utah which we did later that month. Spent yesterday deciding which photos to get printed so we can fill some frames we found whilst having a sort out.
