Tesco delivery at 10pm last night.
Had a late delivery last night the girl can't have been more than 21-25yrs. (10pm) Is this really wise and sensible in this day and age?
Sits in corner with tin hat on awaiting replies!

In terms of being wise or sensible - do you mean in terms of age, gender or time - the three things you mentioned?
For me it is. ayes for all 3. age - they are old enough to work and be responsible gender - everyone has been screaming for decades for gender equality. time - under current conditions where we need more and more delivery slots, then to me this is fine as well. Again people screaming they cant get delivery slots - the main option is to lengthen the delivery day from early morning to late evening. Edited at 05:06 PM. |

Oh I see .. age is not an issue . Most of the Tesco delivery people round here can’t be more than 19 half the time and there are various supermarkets delivering in my close and they’re usually around that kind of time , suppose needs must and they don’t really bother me noise wise.

Blimey
You can go to war at 18! We have 18/19 year old police officers who will face more than an homeowner angry at the stupid substitutions on their shopping! Edited at 06:17 PM. |

Would you have posted this if it had been a 21 -25 year old “boy“ delivering?
If not, then I would suggest it sums up the extent to which gender stereotyping affects all our lives whether we realise it or not. It probably stood out to you because you have not seen many women making those deliveries. It doesn’t mean they can’t or shouldn’t - just that because we have a stereotype in our mind’s eye of who a delivery person should be. I think it’s really thought provoking and, although unintentional, an example of “Everday sexism” as my 21 year old daughters would say. |

Any more or less than the past, 24 hour news coverage just makes people that way! Edited at 06:21 PM. |

And I won’t comment on the sexist viewpoint of the post.
