The Trip that shouldn’t have been
After a blissful trip to WDW in 2017 we agreed to postpone any future trips until 2021. With all the news rides (including the much aniticipated Star Wars Land) it just made sense.
We didn’t however take into consideration the pull of The World for us Disney addicts. So... after a few too many glasses of wine last April, I found myself banging a deposit down on two weeks at POFQ in August with DDP upgrade 🤣 After a few sleepless nights I came clean to my DH and we put the idea of a Disney holiday to bed. Fast forward to January this year when I received a Brexit email to remind me of what might have been (and might still be!). After a little bit of persuasion I managed to convince my lovely husband that Florida was the way forward and the trip that shouldn’t be was born. At first I promised everyone it would be the budgetest of trips possible. But then ADR day came and I found myself booking every reservation that I fancied 🙈 So prepare yourselves for a lot of food, even more cocktails with a few rides thrown in for good measure. Now to introduce us: Me (31) Disney enthusiast. Scarred by my childhood pleas to visit the world which were ignored. Beauty and the beast lover although also equally fond of Moana and Frozen. Food lover (two stone to lose 🤞 and loves a nice cocktail/glass of wine. DH (30) Puts up with my Disney obession. Loved WDW last time. Official foodie and adventurous eater. Enjoys the occasional beer but unable to drink too much (but is more than happy to share 👍🏼 DS(7) Loves Star Wars and Toy Story. Has been indoctrinated with Disney from a young age! Loved mine train last time so hoping slinky dog will be right up his street. Will probably order mac and cheese every day of this trip with an Apple juice! DD (3) The Princess of the group. Last time we didn’t have to pay for her so this will be different. Mickey and Minnie obsessed but also a recent frozen recruit. Loves a good snack this one so should smash her 2 a day. We have just finished our reservations and looking at our plans for each day. Will post that another day as waffling on. We have loved following trip reports prior to our visits so hopefully others will find this useful 😀 Edited at 10:35 PM. |

Sounds like you have an amazing trip planned. You should get yourself a countdown on the bottom of your posts. Also, look into setting up your Dibb vacation planner.
Welcome to the Dibb by the way! 😀 Kat

So, flights are finally booked. The one thing we were missing and I was getting twitchy that it wouldn’t happen 😥
So our flights arrive on the Wednesday but our package doesn’t start until the Friday. After a bit of research, we decided to add two nights at AOA. Any reviews greatly appreciated but looks amazing so I’m excited. Will update with dining choices soon. I’m definitely going to be focusing on this having dieted for half a year to get here! Currently trying to decide whether to do the family magic tour, MNSSHP (didn’t love our first experience) or EMM (don’t know if it’s worthwhile with two weeks there!). Love a bit of Disney planning! 🐭 🏰 |
