For me, if Virgin was roughly the same price I’d go with virgin. Their financial issues worry me... we flew with them this year, we flew their on a high fly plane and back on a Norwegian flight. It was absolutely fine. It’s just the finance side of things that worries me, personally.

I personally don't think you'd get Virgin tickets for as little as Norwegian but that's just my opinion.
Luckily things are looking slightly better as they've sealed a deal to keep them going for at least two more years, most of their B787 are back in service meaning no more wet leasing and hopefully they eventually receive a large payment from Boeing for the 737 MAX issues. OP if the price is right, go ahead and book but book with a CC or ensure you have end supplier failure included with your insurance.

The OP already stated they were given prices for Virgin and Norwegian from their TA and they’re comparable albeit it sounds Norwegian we’re cheaper. They were merely asking if they were a decent airline to fly with in-comparison.
As already mentioned loads of times Norwegian are a perfectly acceptable airline to get you to Orlando. I had been wary of purchasing too far in advance, even with a credit card type protection to get a refund if things went wrong you’d still need to replace the flights for a (likely) much larger price however as someone has mentioned this seems to be less of a risk now than it has being in recent month. |

Thanks all.
The Norwegian flights got in quite a bit later than the Virgin ones so ended up booking those. Finally on our way back! |
