Thumbs up San Fran & LA & Vegas

Hey

so i am taking my mum on a west coast trip next summer, i have visited these places before, however the hotel in San Fran was a bit dingy, was more like a hostel where people live too.

Does anyone know any hotels they have stayed at before, doesn't have to be fishermans wharf but somewhere we can walk from or catch transport.

we stayed in Mayfair Hotel in LA which was nice and dont mind staying there again as the train station was a 5-10 minute walk away (However just seen you need a $100 night deposit to stay there :-o). Or is there anywhere else that people have stayed?

Vegas - already have my stay organised using my myvegas points so dont matter with that one.

Hope you can help

Sophie x

How much per night in the hotels?

It would be no good us suggesting something which was totally out of your budget. Some of the hotels suggested on here are too pricey for me so it would be good if we can suggest places which are likely to be in the right ballpark :-)
