We did this as well when I booked our July flights the Heathrow ones were really expensive so just booked from Gatwick and booked easy jet ones from Inverness but ended up phoning when the sale was on and got from Inverness via Heathrow and a larger car for cheaper than the original flights from Gatwick. So now to change the easyJet ones for a cheeky weekend to Poland instead!

Next October we'll probably do our usual of ABZ-LHR-MCO and back with BA.. Did enjoy the ABZ-MAN-MCO route but can no longer fly ABZ to MAN with Flybe and Loganair do 1 flight a day but don't fly on a Saturday so doesn't work for us!(Aberdeen is the WORST airport )

We always fly indirect with United and choose airport based on price. I find Edinburgh airport is slightly cheaper - just checked and its £62pp cheaper for our dates in May 21

Inverness airport isnt much better! Although i suppose i should be grateful for having it close by as the flights to London are so helpful.

Still looking to book with BA from Inverness - LHR - MCO as its the most convenient for us and its coming in ££££s less than VA, Tui and flying from any other airport.

We usually do Glasgow or Edinburgh to Gatwick then Orlando we usually choose whichever is cheaper this is usually EDI . Next year going TUI direct from Glasgow to Sanford moved from this year.
Other routes we have done is to Paris then a Direct flight with Air France 😄

We've been direct from Glasgow with Virgin and TC but with TC gone now and Virgins flights being all over the place there's not really a viable direct route unless you get a decent deal with TUI.

Have flown from Manchester twice as well but decided to never do that again after the last trip. Car got dinged by parking company and drive home was horrendous 2nd time around as didn't get any sleep on the plane.

We've booked with BA for next year so will be Gla-Lgw-Mco.

First time not travelling direct but kids are older now so easier to deal with.

We are due to fly from Manchester next July, this will be our first time.

I’m a bit apprehensive about the long drive but Glasgow flights were extortionate compared to Manchester this year for our dates.

If you sleep on the plane home then you should be able to do the drive home OK.

If you don't then you'll probably end up parked up in a services for a snooze not long after leaving the airport.
