wow. what were you all expecting? the shawshank redemption? its an adam sandler movie!

we *REALLY* enjoyed it. it's everything you could want from an adam sandler movie with all his mates showing up and having a laugh.

theres no real malice, violence or anything in this film, everything works out ok, nobody gets hurt, and it's just like going through a haunted house at universal or something.

screw the haters. go watch this lovely wholesome fun movie. just dont go in expecting schindlers list or anything remotely high-brow. suspend your belief and just go along for the ride

We watched this the other night and I must say, we all enjoyed it.

I liked all the little Easter eggs, and the cast is really great. It’s an easy to watch, fun movie, that has a good message in it.

We watched this with our kids yesterday, we were looking for something halloweeny but suitable for all and this filled the gap. I think I’d have preferred it without the silly voice, it made it seem like it was made for much younger children but then some of the jokes were a bit too adult for young ones and it prompted some questions in our house! But it was ok, we enjoyed watching it together.

Also, the cast is HUGE! We were constantly asking “I recognise them, who is that?!” - my fave being Keenan of Keenan and Kel!

No, of course we weren’t and if you loved it ,great but it made me cringe , it felt like he was taking the pee with that terrible voice and I didn’t like that.
I felt like the cast were wasted as they are all great in other things but this seemed like they were just desperate for some work.
And like a “universal haunted house”?
Think we watched a different film ..

I was also very disappointed with it. I'm a big Sandler fan, so I will always stick my neck out to defend him. But Hubie Halloween is not good at all. Some of my favourite movies of his are usually the worst rated by the "critics" (IMHO if you like it, you like it, critics shouldn't come into it) but this one won't be getting watched again.

We felt the same. Thought it would be fun and slightly scary but it was dreadful, we managed about half before turning it off. Also struggled to understand what Adam Sandler was saying.

Shame as it had a great cast.

Shame, I was going to watch this. Sounds like I won't bother!

I don't mind a Sandler comedy, not exactly highbrow but easy watching.

He was quite unbelievably good in Uncut Gems.

I really enjoyed this film, Uncut Gems is better if you like a grittier Adam Sandler film. This was a good Halloween lighthearted fun film.
