Waitlist for direct Saratoga points- triggers ROFR

We’ve seen ROFR being triggered again in the last few weeks, it seems mainly on Saratoga and OKW.

Well according to the other board, they have a waitlist going now for direct Saratoga points.

Seems they are ROFR that one to try and fulfill this waitlist.

Don’t think I’ve ever heard of a Saratoga waitlist before. Could be wrong about that, but when I bought direct they did it in a couple of days.

So far it seems like 200+ point contracts only taken. I'll probably be the first sub-200 one knowing my luck! 29 days and counting...

I know when we enquired 2 years ago, they could only "sell" us 53 points unless we waitlisted, didn't go forward in the end.

One would have thought that Covid and the WDW shutdown would slowed sales and in the uncertainty reduced prices in the resale market.

But maybe it's also turning out that more and more are finding out about DVC for the first time while others are looking more serious into it and now realising the long term benefits; especially as it's held and increased in value at WDW, which is unlike most other timeshares.

Yay! Passed ROFR after 39 days. 100 point contract at SSR, for those who are interested. Now there’s just the small matter of when we will actually be able to get back into the USA to use them

Good also to hear that you (only) had 39 days in ROFR. I may have just joined the queue again 🤔 blushing so I’m crossing my fingers and toes that Disney are done with taking SSR for now 😆

Huge congrats! We are almost back in the queue again after Disney exercised ROFR on our last attempted purchase Really hoping we get through this time!
