yes i think its ridiculous but it does not seem to be changing any time soon! ...i find it especially silly when i watch vloggs of people walking round resorts ,no one else in sight and having to keep masks on!..or flying round on dumbo in a mask!.., i so hope these rules change soon to maybe "when queuing or inside!...or whenever we feel unsafe...Let us decide!...i think the choice is taken from us for some time yet though...i feel for anyone wiith little children ,they probably would adapt but i think i would rather not visit than have to cover their little faces in 90 degree heat..

A mask protects others from the wearer, rather than the wearer from others... so wearing it when you feel unsafe is not helpful to others... are you happy for other people to decide when they may or may not be a risk to you?
Everyone will use different criteria - that’s why it has to be a clear rule. |

It isn't a state law. The rules were set by the individual counties. Our Trump supporting governor is trying to pretend Covid is over and removed or hindered most restrictions. Individual businesses, school districts etc have chosen to ignore him. There are no fines for not wearing a mask but places like Disney will simply not let you in or force you to leave.

I agree with you on wearing them on rides outside. Surely taking your mask off doesn't pose too much of a risk. And how about just taking them off for a quick picture in front of the castle too. Surely that would also be safe. Holiday photos are going to be pretty awful if we're all wearing masks

Thanks for explanation - it makes sense and the parks are being respectful and considerate to others. I wear a mask to protect others and be respectful - but I hate wearing them plus I am exempt according to my asthmas nurse but hey who cant wear a bit of flimsy cloth in from to them really has an issue . If I go somewhere, like parks , where otters, including young children aren’t wearing them then I would turn tail and go home. As a young child I play “cowboys and Indians wearing a bandana over my face and it was fun so parents can make it a game for them even at a young age - use their imagination

I can't get my head around that, i know that's what the experts say but why is my mask not letting my droplets out but will allow others to get through! Has it got something to do with the size of the droplets getting smaller over a said distance perhaps! I don't know...

Droplet infection isn't only inhaled, you can pick it up by touch and it can enter the body through any orifice, people wearing masks reduces the risk of them spreading infection as it stops the actual droplet, therefore reducing the amount potentially out there.
