We got rid of our bath. Worst case scenario when we sell we can put it back in...

We got rid of our bath years ago as it was never used. We are just pricing up redoing our bathroom, just replacing what is there already, not big changes, we are thinking we might not bother to tile floor to ceiling next time, if we paint the walls it will obviously be cheaper but more importantly we can change the colour whenever we want to rather being stuck with the same tiles for years, the cheapest quote we have had is just under £8k which I think is shocking.

We have just received a quote to get our main bathroom done - £3.5K just labour, this is changing like for like as well as floor to ceiling tiling. Fixtures, fittings and tiles come to about £3K. I hope your quote includes everything!

I wouldn’t not buy a house if didn’t have a bath, in fact I’d see it as a plus .
I guess a bath can be put in if these is room for one .

Wow, maybe it depends on where you live, but that seems over the top. I got both my bathrooms done last year. Larger bathroom upstairs I got the bath removed and everything ripped out - floor - walls - ceiling. There had been a leak at some point so new floor put in. Walls re-done, towel rail fitted - floor and roof tiled with good quality tiles, double shower put in and new basin/wc lights and extractor fan fitted for just over £6k. Downstairs bathroom wc/sink/shower/ceiling removed. Walls/floor tiled, towel rail fitted new shower and sink, re-used wc, new lights and extractor fan for just over £4k
