Unless your 15 year old wants to order from the kids menu then nothing will impact you.

Some of our fondest memories come from our dining experiences- the antics at Hoop de Doo, the view of the fireworks from Cali Grill, Story Book Dining had fabulous character interaction as did Bon Voyage Breakfast. Just all the unique theming adds to the overall Disney experience- my other favourites being, Prime Time, SciFi, CRT, The Edison(amazing entertainment) , Ohanas(a cheeky cocktail at Trader Sams first), Beaches and cream for the kitchen sink! I could go on... I think you get the idea - I think TS is the way to go 😋

Last time we were at Disney, we only had a couple QS and both times we just had to find somewhere on the ground outside to sit. I can’t remember where we ate but maybe they were just bad choices.
I’d be happy with QS too if it were not for the difficulty in finding a table anywhere, as the menus are perfectly fine and lots of variety. I have looked for QS offering over very many park days and have had little success. I honestly think we have managed a QS meal in a park no more than half a dozen times over multiple trips and none have been particularly pleasant experiences. We usually give up after seeing there are no clean tables and would be more inclined to snack in a park and sit on some steps or a wall whilst we eat.

We had a short visit to the parks a few years ago and has a couple of QS lunches. I remember failing to find a table and we just had to sit on a wall. That’s what concerns me most about sticking with QS.

I am usually looking for lunch not dinner and I have never managed to get a table without a huge struggle and most times we have given up looking. What is your secret? Do you have lunch at 10am? I usually try to eat early (but not that early ) but it hasn’t helped.

I upgraded to DxDDP for next trip so that will relieve some of the QS hell.

My idea on any sort of holiday is the luxury of a nice sit down meal in the evening. However I find TS we are always left with credits over as it’s just too hot to eat during the day ... and some evening graze too.
I don’t think either plan suits me particularly well now we are past the character meal stage which probably has contributed to us appreciating off site and non Disney focused holidays more than the bubble nowadays.

I prefer TS - We tend to do a TS lunch in the parks for a rest and break. We love characters so are very heavy on character meals so ddp makes sense for us. QS food can be really good but I hate the scrum of queuing and often having to queue at several different queues depending on the restaurant lay out. With young kids I find QS stressful- then you have to fight for a table. Not as bad if its off peak times but if you are hungry at peak times its hard work. Mobile ordering helps but it restrictive at times and wi fi dependent. It's such a personal decision- it is hard panning 6 months out but we find its give us a plan to follow. We tend to have a light breakfast/snack then TS lunch/brunch and then QS dinner if/ when hungry. We are nearly always ready for lunch after a few hours running about.

It's QS for me. The parks have some great ones. Flame Tree Barbeque, Columbia Harbor House, Katsura Grill, Lotus Blossom Cafe. I could go on. I go in September and October and there are always plenty of free tables.

We're back on the TS plan now after the flurry of replies

Panicking as Monday is our ADR day

Our thinking this time is there are a few TS we wouldn't mind doing but we also don't want to be planning and rigid etc. Then on the other hand if we have no plans in place then it'll be later and later getting up each morning plus kids on their phones = after lunch getting to parks

I’m sure you’ll have put this already but how much have you paid to upgrade?

I’d be booking mostly breakfast if I was TS, then you can change the rest of the day if needed.
