i was a horrible step-mum i made my two go on the rides even if they were crying. I was always right and they loved them. The anticipation makes it worse hence go early and walk straight on.

My kids have always been extremely tall for their ages which meant they were always "tall enough" and I didn't have any excuse to keep them off the scary rides. Years ago I told dd she was not allowed on any rides that went upside down until she was 10.

When he did tower of terror he was absolutely not meant to be going on and we were doing child swap. But as he was tall enough they just said “swap at the ride”. So because he could, he insisted on going on. He did enjoy it but after that he didn’t want to go on anything else.
Last year he loved both Harry Potter rides, kong, spiderman so we will see. I’ve shown him the pov of the ride and he is now even more excited. Thanks again everyone, will have to just leave it up to him. |

I also have tall kids both of mine have always been keen to do all of the rides at very young ages. My daughter is more reluctant then my son (eldest) but she is still a dare devil. She also went on Tower of Terror at the age of three.
We did take her on Mako a couple of years ago she was 10 at the time and she cried in the queue and cried when she sat on the ride. She had tears streaming down her face and the guy said to her do you want to get off and she said no. She loved it so much we had to do it three more times haha. Just go with the flow and don't worry about what other people may think if he changes his mind and enjoy your holiday.
