Cocoa Beach & Pier
Hi,
We are off to Orlando in October and after a day at KSC I was thinking of spending the evening at Cocoa beach & Pier. Just wondering if anybody has done this and if it is worth spending the evening doing this. I am not sure if anything will be open as it will likely be a Sunday when KSC will hopefully be less busy. I have a lot planned in during our stay so I am not sure I can fit in a day visit, but would be nice to get to the beach for a few hours. Thanks Peter Edited at 11:08 PM. |

We stayed by the Pier before our cruise. There is a restaurant/ bar at the end of the pier. It’s quite nice but not such a destination as Clearwater. It’s much more low key. I don’t think it makes much difference that it’s a Sunday but it’s a fairly quiet place.
We stayed at the La Quinta which is by the pier. |

Similar to above we stayed at La quinta a couple of years back, which is a decent moderate hotel, and enjoyed it just as much as Clearwater on previous visits but I agree 100% that is not the same "destination" resort as the East Coast. That being said the beach is great, there are dune areas behind the beach like "I Dream of Jeanie" (honestly) that are really nice and quiet, the small " old town" is worth a visit and I had a superb Maine Lobster dinner out on the pier Restaurant .

We love Cocoa Beach and and visit the pier often. Every Sunday in 'Keith's Oyster bar' there is usually a band playing from 2-6pm. You can check out the restaurants and entertainment schedule here>> cocoabeachpier/
