Here's one from Ingleborough - we went to see Gaping Gill, but climbed Ingleborough instead. This is when we had just climbed the scrabble path (you can see climbers at the bottom about to do the face). Taken with my trusty old point and shoot Cybershot 2.0.

This was taken from a moving car, so it's not wonderfully in focus, but I love the fact I was looking at a palm tree with snow capped mountains in the background.

Great pictures everyone!
I'm glad someone posted a phone picture at last =) I was going to post my Everest photo but Caron beat me too it. I agree that it's fast becoming the new AK icon. Nice work everyone. |

Thats a beautiful shot Tinker with wonderful depth which suggests the camera has sellected the correct aperture.. (Note to self..I think I spell this diffently every post).. Only prob is its bringing so many memorys back from last year even 30 odd days is too long.. and dont let Andre see it or he will probably have to be revived once he realises he's not actually back there.
Rusty I think that is print quality.. hope you kept the RAW or the Tiff.. Its stunning..Look how the leafless trees create a natural 3d effect and depth into the picture.. And the light is beautiful.. Chelle that pic brings back so many memories of geography field trips.. Nicely compose.. I think the exposure needs to be darkened just to deepen the shadows and punch the greens out a little, but I love it for the memories. Captain Stes photo probably shows what most people now get to see of the Countryside in this country, but its not without its merits.. Just think slightly differently.. Think how different this picture could be in different light, weather, or with all thestreet lights coming on at dusk and dawn..how dramatic it could be made.. Its a pity about the Haze because the shortening of the depth does make your eyes over concentrate on the industrial estate.. Andy ? ..Maybe just me but I can't see tonights offering, I think you were up toolate last night Danny

Taken last month in switzerland whilst on holiday, this was on the rack railway back down from rocher de nayes. Lots of photos were taken and this was a good shot due to only 5 mins before we were up higher and fully in the clouds and couldnt see 10 feet in front of us, and then we came down to bright sunshine Edited at 08:44 PM. |
