Just wondering what my chances would be on a refund from Jessops. I dont know if it is faulty, but it isn't right.

Well my chances were good. The shop assistant offered a full refund without me asking for one. He also said that what is happening is normal with compact cameras like that. So back to the drawing board.

Hi Michelle, I'm lookig to replace my Ixus with a TZ8, which is why I've found this thread. Sorry to read the Canon video wasn't upto scratch, did you end up buying anything else?
I want a p&c with a decent zoom, as well as taking decent photos in low light. The TZ8 covers the zoom aspect but I'm not so sure about the low light results. x

No we haven't got round to getting another P&S camera. Good Luck, my head was hurting with all the cameras available

Michelle, I got the TZ8 from comet the other week and it was £179. It is the best p&s I have ever used and I can highly reccomend it. The night shots are amazing on the right setting. It has two night settings. Night portrait and Night landscape. I cannot reccomend it enough.

It's a nightmare isn't it, love my ixy, but need something with a better zoom for concert pics etc. Think it's going to be out of the TZ8 & TZ10.
