I may not be one of the Californians you met before, but if you come to San Diego and would like a local to meet up with for meal or a guided tour, I would be happy to volunteer myself and give you a welcome to the city.

This is the Coronado Boathouse restaurant that I'll be meeting Geoff and Darrin for dinner at next month- it's the place Geoff mentioned that Narcoosees is modelled after: coronado-boathouse/

Hoping to take the San Francisco Fire Engine tour:
Leaving Fisherman's Wharf we go through the Presidio, to Fort Point at the base of The Bridge and over the Golden Gate Bridge. On to Sausalito, a jewel of a village with magnificent views of San Francisco across the Bay. Next, a photo stop at Fort Baker and then back over the bridge, through the lovely Union Street neighborhood and returning to the Cannery. Takes about 75 minutes. The Mack Big Red Shiny Mack Fire Engine lives in an old fire station.

Wow Geoff, sounds like you have a fantastic trip planned. Shame you couldn't get the ANZ flights, would love to have read a report on them.

Whoo! Hoo! Our Disneyland tickets arrived today:



6 day park hopper tickets, Grand Flordian resort and spa room voucher, a book of Magical Extras containing voucher for free pin and lanyard, preferred seating vouchers for Aladdin show, Animation Academy, It's tough to be a bug and Muppet Vision 3D. The latter two we find a bit odd! We also get to join the Toontown morning madness one hour before Toontown opens to the general public. We become honorary "toons" and get to meet Mickey, Minnie and some of their neighbours. We also get a voucher for half price fare on the bus to South Coast Plaza shopping mall. And these - exclusive luggage tags featuring "World of Color":

Jess is always talking about you, wait till I tell her your off to see Mickey! Was trying to get her this toy she was after the other day, with no luck. She turned to me and said don't worry I'll ask Geoff! Lol I think she thinks your her Santa!

Oooh looks great! I love San Fransisco and San Diego, the Old Town in SD has some lovely restaurants and bars, with the MOST amazing nachos and margaritas - have one for me will you?
